Where concrete cutting is used in Dubai
Concrete cutting in Dubai is how contractors open reinforced walls, slabs and floors without breaking the structure around them. Villas in Al Quoz, towers in Business Bay, warehouses in Jebel Ali and fit-outs in occupied malls all need the same thing: a straight cut, a known line of rebar, and a crew that can work while the rest of the site stays live.
A concrete cutting company in Dubai is usually called when the drawing asks for a new door, a riser, a trench, or the removal of a slab bay. Breaking that concrete with a hammer sends shock into the slab and leaves a ragged edge. Diamond cutting tracks a line and leaves an edge that can be made good.
Which diamond cutting method to ask for
The right machine depends on the element, not on whichever saw is already on the truck. Tell the cutter the thickness, whether the concrete is post-tensioned, and what has to stay in use next door.
- Wall saw cutting for doors, windows, lift openings and shafts in reinforced walls.
- Floor saw cutting for trenches, expansion joints, warehouse bays and road or podium slabs.
- Diamond core drilling for round MEP openings in slabs, walls and beams.
- Wire saw cutting when the section is too thick or too tight for a track saw.
Safety on an occupied Dubai site
Most Gulf Cut call-outs are not empty demolition plots. Floors above and below are often still in use. Water from the saw has to be controlled, slurry cannot run into live electrics, and the cut piece has to be lifted or broken down before it drops.
Ask for concrete scanning before the first cut if the slab may contain post-tension cables, live conduits or pipes. A scan is cheaper than a struck cable. Gulf Cut scans, cuts and removes concrete across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman from our yard in Al Quoz.
Questions we get on site
How noisy is concrete cutting in an occupied building?
Diamond saws are quieter and lower-vibration than breakers, but they are not silent. Gulf Cut agrees working hours, water control and access before cutting starts in a live building.
Do I need a structural engineer before cutting a wall or slab?
Yes if the wall or slab is load-bearing, post-tensioned, or part of the lateral system. The cutter follows the approved opening. The engineer decides whether that opening is allowed.
Which emirates does Gulf Cut cover?
