When a track saw is the wrong machine
Wire saw cutting uses a diamond-beaded wire looped around the concrete and pulled by a drive wheel. It is the method for thick walls, heavy beams, bridge members, pile caps and machine bases where a circular blade cannot reach the full depth.
On UAE infrastructure and basement work, the section is often heavily reinforced. A wire does not rely on the blade diameter. Once the wire is threaded, it can cut a large area with less vibration than breaking the same member out.
What the site has to allow
The wire needs a path around the member, or bore holes so it can be threaded through. There must be room for the drive unit, a plan for the cut piece, and control of slurry water. A wire saw is not a hand tool you start in a finished corridor without that setup.
If the member can be cut to full depth with a wall saw or floor saw, that is usually faster. Wire sawing earns its place when thickness, access or reinforcement rules those out.
Beams, bases and demolition cuts
Contractors book wire sawing to release a beam, separate a foundation, or take a thick wall down in pieces that a crane can lift. The cut is planned with the lifting, not after the concrete is already free.

Is wire sawing only for bridges?
No. Bridges are a typical use. The same method cuts thick basement walls, beams, pile caps and industrial bases in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Does a wire saw need water?
Yes. Water cools the wire and controls dust. The site needs a way to manage that slurry, especially inside a building.
Can you wire-cut and remove the piece?
The cut and the lift should be planned together. We can coordinate the cutting sequence so each piece is a size the crane or the slab can handle.
