When the track saw is the wrong tool
Some sections are too thick, or too tight against another element, for a wall or floor saw. The wire saw loops a diamond wire through holes drilled at the corners and pulls the cut through the mass.
Gulf Cut used that setup on a heavy reinforced section so the cut stayed on the line and the surrounding concrete was left standing.
The job was a thick reinforced section in the UAE. The method was a diamond wire saw, because a track saw had no room to sit. The outcome was a cut on the marked line and the concrete around the section left standing.
How the cut was controlled
The wire needs a clear path, anchor points, and a plan for the piece once it is free. Those were set before the machine ran.
- Corner holes drilled for the wire
- Section checked for thickness and steel
- Cut kept to the marked line
- Freed piece lowered, not dropped
